One-to-one health coaching for people who are tired of starting again

Lose weight without starving yourself, banning foods or waiting for another perfect Monday.

For people who know roughly what they should be doing, but need a clear structure, real conversations and someone in their corner when life gets messy.

Free. Honest. No pressure. No hard sell.

A proper hello from GaryPersonal welcome video being added next

You're not short of effort. You're short of a plan that survives real life.

I know what I should be doing, but life gets in the way and I end up back at square one.

I'm good all week, then the weekend goes off the rails.

As soon as I eat something 'bad', I feel like I've ruined everything.

I've tried every diet, but nothing seems to work for me.

My biggest problem is finding something I can trust and actually stick to.

I'm worried I'll fail again.

Extremes are exciting. Effective weight loss is usually quite boring.

Social media gives us fads, hacks and rules that only work while life is perfect. So we eat much less, try to be “good”, break by the weekend and assume we're the problem.

You're not the problem. Sustainable progress normally comes from a few useful habits, repeated for long enough to work. No detox. No punishment. No pretending doughnuts have become evil.

We simplify, structure and adjust.

No one-size-fits-all plan. We decide what makes sense together and put the individual first.

01

Understand where you are

We look at your food, time, training, sleep and existing habits. We adjust what's already there before making wholesale changes.

02

Build a sensible plan together

We agree a clear objective, set realistic calorie and protein targets where appropriate, and shape training around your actual life.

03

Stay consistent when life happens

Regular conversations, honest accountability and small adjustments help you recover from wobbles without throwing everything away.

Analogue coaching in an increasingly automated world.

You don't get abandoned inside an app. You get me, my time and regular face-to-face conversation.

Up to two hours of real coaching each week

Usually two relaxed video conversations, especially early on. The time is available without forcing you to use every minute.

Food guidance that fits you

Help with calories, protein and MyFitnessPal if useful, while keeping normal foods, weekends and the occasional takeaway in your life.

Training and habit guidance

A tailored plan based on your ability, preferences and available time, with resistance training where it suits you.

Support between conversations

WhatsApp support, a reply normally within 24 hours, and five short Friday questions to guide our next conversation.

No mystery. No awkward ambush.

1

Book a free call

We talk about life, goals, habits and whether I sound like someone you can work with.

2

Agree the starting point

If we're a good fit, we choose a start date and establish your first clear objectives together.

3

Build as we learn

We make practical changes, review what happens and keep refining the plan across ten weeks.

The aim isn't to make you dependent on me. It's to help you build the clarity and confidence to trust yourself.

I didn't become a health coach because this always came easily to me.

I started my own journey in 2014 at 20 stone. I skipped meals, hammered too much cardio, rebounded more times than I can count and slowly learned that there aren't any hacks or shortcuts.

I got as light as 180 lb, but lighter didn't automatically mean happier or healthier. I'm now settled around 14 stone, with a balance around food I once thought was impossible. I still live with binge eating disorder. I'm not naturally sporty and I don't naturally want to eat “healthy” all the time. That's exactly why I belong in this space.

I bring lived experience, experience helping others and a degree in Health, Nutrition & Exercise. More importantly, I remember how confusing and difficult this can feel.

“I’ll be in your corner every step of the way.”

Slow, steady and seriously meaningful.

Both followed sensible calorie and protein targets, introduced resistance training around their lives and stayed consistent without chasing extremes.

Lewis · Electrician

16.2kg down

110 kg in January → 93.8 kg in August 2026

Lewis has never been afraid of hard work, but until this year he'd never tried tracking what he ate. With a little guidance, he's found a much better balance with food and built training into an already active life.

“The biggest difference has been my confidence. I no longer feel self-conscious or like people are judging me for how I look. That mental shift has been huge.”
“What surprised me most was how much food I could actually eat, as long as it was the right food.”

Hattie · Tattooist

15.4kg down

100 kg in February → 84.6 kg in August 2026

With cerebral palsy affecting her lower body, Hattie once found walking difficult and had never felt the gym was for her. She now trains with me and independently.

“I didn’t feel like the gym was a place for someone like me. I thought I’d hate it, and I didn’t feel safe going on my own. But from the start, it felt different with Gary’s support. I felt comfortable being there, and that changed everything.”
“I feel like I actually enjoy training. I feel like a person again, and I feel like I’m getting my independence back.”

Shared with Lewis and Hattie’s permission. Individual results vary and no specific rate of weight loss is promised.

Choose the level of commitment that suits you.

Weekly coaching can be stopped early. Upfront payment reflects a commitment to the full ten-week block. Illness, holidays and cancelled conversations are handled fairly through honest communication.

I'll never pretend to have every answer.

I'll always give you the best honest guidance I can, using evidence, my degree, lived experience and what I've learned helping others. If I don't know something, I'll say so. I can't guarantee a number on the scales, but I can guarantee that you'll be listened to and treated like an adult.

Before you book a chat.

Do I have to download another app?

No. I may encourage you to use MyFitnessPal because it can be a valuable learning tool, but I won't dump an app and a login on you and leave you to figure it out. You get real support from me.

Do you provide gym plans?

Yes. I can tailor a plan around your ability, your available time and what you're comfortable doing. In-person sessions may also be available by arrangement, with clients travelling to me.

Do you provide meal plans?

Generally, no rigid meal plan. We all have different lives and tastes. I'd rather look at what you're already eating and help you make sustainable changes that genuinely fit you.

I can't trust myself around food. What about me?

I've been there. You don't need to trust yourself completely at the start. Trust me initially, and we'll slowly build the habits and tools that help you trust yourself again.

What if I've tried every diet?

Then we stop looking for another extreme diet. Tracking isn't essential for everyone, but it can be a brilliant learning experience if you've spent years guessing. The aim is clarity, not tracking forever.

What happens on the free call?

We talk. No rigid questionnaire and no rehearsed sales routine. We discuss your life, goals, experiences and habits, then decide honestly whether we're a good fit. If you hate my voice, it's better we discover that for free.

Can the programme pause for illness or a holiday?

Yes. Life happens. We treat each situation on its own merits, communicate like adults and find the fairest sensible way forward.

Is this medical treatment?

No. This is health coaching focused on food, weight, training, habits and accountability. It doesn't replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from your doctor or another qualified healthcare professional.

You don't need to trust yourself completely yet.

Trust me to help you build the tools, habits and confidence to get there.
